Cut-off valve gas tank safety valve

I saw the original poster asking about the installation direction of the safety valve discharge pipe. I happened to have encountered a similar problem. Generally speaking, the discharge pipe of the safety valve should be installed upward to prevent the discharge medium (especially toxic or high-temperature gases) from being sprayed directly towards the operator, and to prevent rainwater or debris from backing up and clogging the pipe. For specific specifications, please refer to TSG 21-2016 "Technical Safety Supervision Regulations for Stationary Pressure Vessels" and GB/T 12241 "General Requirements for Safety Valves", which include instructions on the layout, support and rain protection of the discharge pipe. However, the final direction must be determined based on the characteristics of the medium in the gas storage tank of the shut-off valve (such as whether it contains liquid, whether it condenses) and the space conditions on site. It is recommended that the poster check the equipment drawings or consult the equipment manufacturer to ensure that it complies with international standards such as ASME BPVC or API 520. Safety is no small matter, it’s best to have it reviewed by a professional engineer.
