Is there any requirement regarding the length of use for thermocouple compensation cables?
I don’t see any requirements for this.
I’ve seen ones that are over a hundred meters long, but this one isn’t cheap at all.
This issue has been discussed many times, with no one willing to give in :(
The control room is generally not too far from the equipment; here, it’s over 600 or 700 meters away.

Could the original poster be more specific? How far do you want it to go? Cables are sensitive to distance; there’s no need to worry about compensation or anything like that!
It’s too far; direct heating will cause changes! It also saves money
Use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the meter head, then connect a wire and measure the voltage in the DCS cabinet – what’s there to discuss?
