Calibration of electric contact pressure gauges

Pressure gauges are divided into three main categories, A, B, and C, based on their usage. Category A is related to safety； For those subject to mandatory inspection, the maximum period is six months ； Mandatory verification is carried out by the metrology department. Class A pressure gauges generally refer to those used on boilers and pressure vessels related to production safety; such gauges must undergo mandatory calibration in accordance with Class A standards. II. Category B is related to product quality ； It needs periodic calibration ； Qualified organizations can be selected for testing or calibration. Class B pressure gauges are mainly used in production environments where accuracy of pressure parameters is required. Class C refers to indicating type gauges ； It can be calibrated at once ； Use after the first inspection or calibration. Class C pressure gauges are generally used for rough indication and characterization of pipelines that are under pressure or not, and can be rechecked during maintenance of the associated equipment. Electrical contact pressure gauges are also classified in the same manner as mentioned above

Whether it is classified as Category B or C depends on your usage; it is determined according to your company’s classification system； Verification shall be carried out in accordance with JJG 52-2013 \"General Regulations for the Calibration of Pressure Gauges\".
