Recently, the valve travel switches (position switches) in the company have been giving false alarms frequently (once or twice a week), or the signals are lost. Passive magnetic induction switches are being used; the valves operate with linear motion, and the switches detect the position of the push rod in the upper cylinder. I would like to ask everyone: for such large quantities of programmable valves, which manufacturers’ valves and controls do you use, and what is the installation method? Thank you

Valves from West China Hospital in Chengdu, switches from P+F! It’s possible that the position of the proximity switch isn’t adjusted properly! Generally, the proximity switch probe is 3-5 mm away from the sensing position.

No matter what brand the switch is, the key is to adjust the gap properly. Previously, my company had some faulty units; buying original ones was too expensive, so we simply opted for the cheapest domestic alternatives, which cost just over a dozen yuan. They worked fine for over a year without any problems.
We use P+F position switches with NAMUR signals; such switches have requirements regarding the installation distance, as an unstable signal will occur if they are installed at the critical distance. Another factor is the ambient temperature; we have encountered cases where the switch failed after being exposed to direct sunlight for a long time during summer.
Mine is from West China University; it’s from Chengdu West China University (Huake). The limit switch has been adjusted, but after two months it gradually loosens on its own. I think there’s something wrong with this type of connection
