Regarding the automatic and manual switching of the self-protection valve

For a safety valve that can switch between manual and automatic mode, when switching back from manual to automatic mode, should one first turn the handle to the automatic position and then close the balance valve to stop the gas supply? ? ? ? Should I close the balance valve first, then turn the handle to automatic? ? ? ? Because when switching from automatic to manual mode, the safety valve is in a state with no air supply. If we switch back to automatic mode without first supplying air and simply turn the handle to the automatic position, could this cause the air-on or air-off valve to operate (that is, to open or close completely)? I seek guidance from experts!!!!! Is it related to the difference between single-acting cylinders and double-acting cylinders?
We switch frequently; as a precaution, it’s better to turn off the balance valve first and then slowly move the handle to the automatic position.
In other words, when switching back from manual to automatic mode, should one first close the balance valve, then supply air, and finally turn the handle back to automatic? ? ? But in this situation, after the air supply is connected, the handle cannot be turned back to the automatic mode. I’ve tried using some safety valves on site as well; when trying to switch back to automatic mode, one first has to turn the handle to that position (at this point the balance valve isn’t closed and the air supply is activated), yet the air valve doesn’t move (that is, with no air supply, the air valve remains fully closed)

The function of a balance valve is to equalize the pressure in the upper and lower cylinders; when the pressures are equal, the valve remains stationary! In automatic mode, the cylinder balance valve is closed to ensure a pressure difference between the upper and lower cylinders during operation! Since your system is equipped with a balance valve, it indicates that it belongs to an older type of control circuit. Nowadays, in many systems where manual and automatic modes are switched between, the balance valve also operates automatically; there is no need to close or open it manually! It is recommended that the original poster take photos of the self-protecting valve in your area; this will be more helpful for everyone in helping you solve the problem!
