Guys, I have a question for everyone – what do the terms \"insensitive area\" and \"trigger value\" refer to in the diagram?
The insensitive zone is likely the dead zone, the range within which an increase or decrease in the input signal does not cause the valve to start moving. The starting value refers to the input signal that causes the control valve to begin operating from its closed state; generally, when calibrating a control valve, it is required that the input signal for opening it be greater than 0% in order to ensure that the valve closes reliably.
1. The corresponding stroke refers to the theoretical valve stroke corresponding to the input signal; if the positioner is linear, the corresponding stroke is identical to the percentage of the input signal, whereas if it is not linear, the theoretical stroke must be calculated. 2. The insensitive zone is the range within the stroke during which the input signal is increased or decreased until the valve starts to move. It is best to test at a point midway in the stroke, or at a stroke point that is frequently used in the process. 3.
