Dear sea friends, has anyone used a remote-transmission bimetallic thermometer (with a built-in thermal resistor or thermocouple)? What is the reliability? We have a project where the temperature interfaces are in short supply, but all those I’ve worked with have separate local and remote versions.
It is a common practice among manufacturers of motors or pump systems, but it is not recommended to use it when interlocks are involved.
Find a good manufacturer, ensure quality – what’s the problem?
There’s no problem; it’s just that producing this thing is troublesome and its value isn’t high.
There are temperature gauges similar to those on Nanyang explosion-proof motors. However, it is a thermocouple pressure temperature gauge combined with PT100
Manufacturers that produce bimetallic thermometers will continue to produce them, and there are no issues with using them.
If there are thermocouples/resistors, why do we still need bimetallic elements? Either install two types, or just use a thermocouple/resistor with a display.
Dual-metal strip transmitters are relatively inexpensive, but they also have a higher probability of suffering damage; the precision of dual metals itself is not high. It’s better to opt for integrated thermal resistors, which not only provide on-site temperature display but also offer high precision and good stability. Although they are slightly more expensive, their quality is superior, and there’s no need to worry about maintenance later on~
With a temperature transmitter and an LED digital display on the gauge, it perfectly solves the problems of temperature display in the field as well as temperature parameter monitoring in the control room
