I would like to ask the teachers: A batch of cables has arrived at our site; they are instrument cables that connect the main panel to multiple sub-panels. The sub-panels are connected to each other, and each sub-panel is also connected to the main panel. As shown in Figure 1. Figure 2 is the designed technical specification sheet. However, the initial requirement from the project owner and supervisor was to have separate working areas for each pair of split screens, with the main screen serving as a protective area. (There is also a type of cable with an armored layer and a main screen as well as multiple sub-screens; the armored layer serves as the protective ground, while the main screen and each sub-screen have their own separate working grounds.) But now the sub-screens are connected to the main screen – isn’t this approach pointless then? Are these cables qualified? I wonder if there are any standards or specifications that provide clear rules regarding the cables used for split-screen displays on the main screen?
May I ask how to achieve two-terminal grounding and multi-point grounding on the upper floor?
There is no requirement for mutual insulation between the shielding layers!
This post was last edited by hfrs on 2018-5-15 13:52. Regarding computer cables: the shielding layer is not PE, and protective grounding is absolutely not allowed! There can be only winding between the shielding layers; there is no insulating layer!
