The company has a vacuum pumping unit for which it is necessary to measure the outlet flow rate; an A+K balanced flow meter is used for this purpose. I would like to know whether a regular transmitter can be used to measure the differential pressure, or whether an absolute pressure transmitter is required. Currently, the differential pressure measured using vacuum instruments at the site across the two pressure taps is approximately 0.5 Kpa, but after installing a regular transmitter, the reading is 0, indicating that no pressure difference can be detected.
A gauge pressure transmitter must be used, as your pipeline is under vacuum. If using Rosemount, then choose the 3051CA model gauge pressure transmitter
Are there also differential pressure and gauge pressure transmitters? Haven’t heard of it at all
Vacuum differential pressure gauge – come to my brother to buy one. My brother uses them on aerospace vehicles to measure speed; these gauges have been in use for 20 years now
A differential pressure gauge that cannot detect vacuum differential pressure is a stupid, idiotic differential pressure gauge.

Our factory also manufactures those high-resolution differential pressure meters that are created by subtracting the readings of two absolute pressure sensors from each other – with a resolution of 1 Pa; truly superior in terms of precision
