The reaction vessels we use here are of the open-type design; the temperature of the solution during reaction is between 90 and 100 degrees. Silica gel is produced through precipitation, via the reaction between dilute sulfuric acid and sodium silicate. It is now necessary to monitor the pH value during the reaction process in real time.
