I have a mass flow meter installed, with a normal flow rate of around 40 t/h. Currently, due to process-related reasons, the medium flows in the opposite direction, resulting in a flow rate of about 15 t/h; the local gauge shows 0. Once the repairs are completed and the medium starts flowing in the correct direction again, I’m not sure whether the meter will function properly. It appears to be a Coriolis mass flow meter.
A mass flow meter should be capable of measuring in both directions.
It can operate in both directions; when reversing the medium flow, the settings can be adjusted in the gauge parameters. The flow rate is displayed as a negative value, and the cumulative amount also decreases, allowing for an accurate determination of the amount discharged – zero should not be displayed
Quality generally functions in both directions, but it usually operates in the normal direction; in a situation like the one described by the original poster, it’s sufficient to set the flow direction in the parameters.
If the parameters have not been changed, there is no problem in running the process in the forward direction again. Just check whether zeroing is needed.
It can be used normally; two-way operation is possible, but the values obtained for the direction are inaccurate
Use 475 to modify the parameters; I can’t remember which one specifically
The flow rate can be indicated once operation starts; it just needs to be calibrated with a gauge. Thank you all
Practice has shown that imported mass flow meters can measure in both directions. I’ve never used domestic ones.
