Winter has arrived, and the instruments in the installation need to be equipped with insulation and heating. Under what circumstances should such insulation and heating be installed? Throwing it in too early seems to waste steam. It is a flow meter that uses pressure tapping pipes for pressure measurement; the operating temperature of the medium is around 105 degrees, while the current ambient temperature is around 18 degrees. Is it necessary to activate the insulation and heating system for this meter under these conditions?
Generally, we start operation on November 15th (the heating day) or after the end of October when the predicted lowest temperature is between 5~10°C; special weather conditions will be notified separately.
Our company is in central Guizhou; it has been completely renovated. Which area are you from? The approaches to renovation vary from place to place, so it’s necessary to explore
Rock wool insulation is sufficient – it’s cost-effective and practical, and it also makes maintenance easier later on, saving labor and resources
To the north of Jiangsu, near Qingdao in Shandong.
Reminder: In summer, prevent the instruments from overheating; in winter, ensure that the pressure-taking section remains at least a few degrees above 0 degrees during the coldest periods. Modifying the pressure tapping is key.
Is rock wool packaging alone enough? Should steam or electric heat tracing strips be added as well?
In what situations is insulation material alone sufficient, and in what situations is it necessary to add steam or electric heat tracing in addition to the insulation material?
Add electric heating; I think electric heating is more convenient
