I would like to ask fellow sailors: I am currently planning to install an electronic belt scale on the belt used to transport calcium carbide in the acetylene production process, in order to measure the weight of the calcium carbide. However, after consulting several manufacturers, I was told that installing a belt scale under such conditions would not result in accurate measurements. Are there any other methods or solutions?
