I. Precautions for using intelligent rotameters 1. When installing or maintaining the device on-site, it is necessary to follow the warning that \"do not open the cover in the presence of explosive gases\", and turn off the external power supply before opening the cover. 2. To prevent damage to the pipelines and instruments due to sudden air currents, when putting the flow meter into operation, the front valve should be opened slowly first, followed by the rear valve. The system should operate at a low flow rate for 1–2 minutes; only after the instruments are functioning properly should all the valves be fully opened. When closing the valve, it should be done slowly; never close it suddenly. 3. It is not allowed to open the back cover or modify the internal parameters while the flow meter is in operation, as this will affect its proper functioning. 4. When the output signal is a 4–20mA current signal, to improve its accuracy, the user should set the value corresponding to 20mA based on the actual maximum standard volumetric flow rate. 5. The fixing parts of the flow meter must not be loosened arbitrarily. 6. Protection of the pressure sensor: When using the flow meter, users should note that the pressure overload value for the flow meter should be 1.5 times the rated operating pressure of the pressure sensor (that is, 1.5 times the maximum pressure of the medium). Therefore, before pressuring the pipeline, the seal on the pressure protection device should be removed, the outer plug should be unscrewed, and the inner plug should be tightened using an Allen key; only then can the pressure testing be carried out. After pressure testing, reduce the remaining pressure and then remove the internal plug. Screw in the outer plug again. During online calibration, it is possible to calibrate the pressure sensor without removing it: replace the outer plug with a special plug and connect it to the pressure gauge, then tighten the inner plug, thereby enabling online calibration of the pressure sensor. After calibration, restore it and then seal it with lead. II. Requirements for the use of intelligent rotary mass flow meters in explosion-proof areas 1. Requirements for intrinsically safe explosion-proof installation and use (1) The product’s enclosure is equipped with grounding terminals; users must ensure proper grounding when using the device. (2) When powered by an external power source, it must be used in conjunction with associated equipment (safety barriers) recognized by an explosion-proof certification authority to form a intrinsically safe explosion-proof system before it can be applied in corresponding explosive hazardous areas. The connection cables are shielded cables, with the shielding layer grounded at a safe location; the distributed parameters of the cables are kept within 0.05 uF/1 mH. (3) The safety barrier must be installed in a safe location, and its installation, use, and maintenance must comply with the relevant provisions of the safety barrier user manual. (4) Users must not replace the electrical components within the product at will. (5) When installing, using, and maintaining the product, users must simultaneously comply with the relevant provisions of GB50058-92 \"Code for Design of Electrical Installations in Explosive and Flammable Environments\" and the \"Regulations on Electrical Safety in Explosive Hazardous Areas of the People’s Republic of China\". 2. Installation and usage requirements for flameproof products (1) The product’s enclosure is equipped with grounding terminals; users must ensure reliable grounding when using the product (when the supply voltage is greater than 36V, internal grounding must be securely connected). (2) There should be no harmful gases at the installation site that can corrode aluminum alloy. (3) The maximum temperature of the explosion-proof enclosure shall not exceed 130°C. (4) Maintenance and battery replacement must be carried out in a safe location; maintenance can proceed only after it has been confirmed at the installation site that there are no flammable gases present. Flow metering is one of the components of measurement science and technology, and it is closely related to the national economy, national defense construction, and scientific research. Flow measurement is widely used in various fields such as industrial and agricultural production, national defense construction, scientific research, foreign trade, and people’s daily lives.
