In what situations are pressure gauges and pressure transmitters installed without a root valve?
It is easy to relieve pressure and to start/stop, without affecting the system’s production. For reference.
It is generally necessary to install it, unless it is a less important device that can be started and stopped at any time, and its installation or removal poses no risk due to the absence of hazardous materials
Generally, globe valves are installed on threaded connections to facilitate routine maintenance； Diaphragm valves are generally not used; if the medium tends to form scabs, installing a globe valve makes it easier for blockages to occur, and such valves are also difficult to clean. In my previous project, the design that included such a valve was removed later on.

Root valves are not installed where human operation is not possible, such as inside the cold box of an air separation tower.
