Cage? What system? The chassis is one where cards are installed, and card addresses are assigned
The number of slots in the cage is fixed; when you want to add cards, there must be spare slots available.
If the available slots allow for an increase in the types and quantities of cards, it is possible to avoid adding new chassis, but the additional hardware still needs to be installed
