The design documents I provide only comply with Chinese standards; when purchasing, authoritative explosion-proof certifications from China’s three major institutions are required – anything else will not be accepted, with special cases being an exception.

1. Regarding model issues, the principles of type approval should be followed. In other words, the FM certification must include explicit descriptions of any other variant models or configurations that might be involved, along with written statements confirming that these models and configurations meet the requirements. This generally refers to Class/Division/Group and the Ta range. Since different technical standards are followed (NEC/American standards), rather than European standards such as CENELEC or ATEX (EEx d IICT6), the manufacturer should at least provide an official statement; it’s not acceptable for the designer to have to look things up on their own ; 2. As far as I know, among the more authoritative certification bodies in China (the three explosion-proof certification agencies recognized by IEC), only the **Explosion-Proof Electrical Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (CQST)** you mentioned has mutual recognition with FM; the other two, namely the **Nequipment Explosion Protection Safety Supervision and Inspection Station (NEPSI)** and the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Electrical Product Explosion-Proof Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (PCEC), do not possess this capability. 3. In China, of course, it is necessary to comply with Chinese regulations; the manufacturer should provide an internationally recognized explosion-proof certification, which should be indicated on the nameplate. Does FM certification refer to the explosion-proof certification by an FM agency? If so, FM certification is an explosion-proof certification from the United States, and it differs from the classification of explosion-proof marks used in China. In other words, the explosion-proof mark on an FM-certified product cannot be ExdⅡCT6, and U.S. explosion-proof certifications cannot be used directly in China; explosion-proof equipment used there must have domestic explosion-proof certifications.
Strictly speaking, domestic standards are the only ones recognized in China. Since China is also a member of the IECEx system, devices with IECEx certificates are also accepted directly. Some domestic explosion-proof certification bodies also recognize devices with ATEX certification, as well as those with explosion-proof certifications from North America. These are merely different requirements imposed by various agencies; they do not represent unified requirements across China.
