Turbine flowmeters are highly praised by users and individuals for their advantages such as high reliability and low cost. However, to achieve better measurement accuracy, the installation process is very important. During the installation process, in addition to mastering the basic steps, attention must also be paid to the following requirements: 1. Requirements for the external environment: Flow meters should preferably be installed indoors. If installation outdoors is necessary, sun protection, rain protection, and lightning protection measures must be taken to prevent damage to their service life. 2. Requirements for impurities in the medium: To ensure the service life of the flow meter, a filter should be installed before the straight section of the flow meter. 3. Requirements for the installation location: The flow meter should be installed in a location that facilitates maintenance, and free from strong electromagnetic interference and thermal radiation. 4. Requirements for piping: The inner diameters of the piping upstream and downstream of the flow meter installation point must be the same as the inner diameter of the flow meter. 5. Requirements for the grounding of flow meters: Flow meters must be reliably grounded and should not share the ground wire with high-voltage electrical systems. 6. Requirements for installation welding: The user shall provide another pair of standard flanges to be welded onto the front and rear pipes. Welding with a flow meter is not allowed. Before installing the flow meter, it is necessary to thoroughly remove debris such as weld slag from the pipes; it is best to use pipes of the same diameter (or bypass pipes) to purge the pipes in place of the flow meter. To ensure that the flow meter is not damaged during use. When installing a flow meter, the gasket between the flanges must not be recessed into the pipe. The six aspects mentioned above represent the requirements regarding the surrounding environment and other factors during installation, once the correct installation procedures have been followed. Only when all these conditions are met can we ensure greater accuracy in the data obtained from the turbine flowmeter.
