An E+H radar level gauge was installed in the new project; after installation, the zero point was set at 3.9 meters and the full scale at 3.5 meters. No material was added to the tank either, and after a few hours the liquid level was shown to be over 1 meter. A value of 0 is displayed after suppression. But a few hours later, the liquid level showed to be over 1 meter. It shows 0 after further suppression. A few hours later, it became over 1 meter again. Does anyone know what’s going on? It’s definitely an empty can.

1. The empty tank is 3.9 m tall, and the full tank is 3.5 m tall; is the range of this tank only 0.4 m? 2. Is the installation location too close to the tank wall or other locations that could have an impact? 3. Check whether the parameter settings are normal. 4. A functional failure of this table module cannot be ruled out
It seems that there is strong interference at a distance of over 1 meter from the bottom; presumably, there is some interference in that area. It’s necessary to check whether there are any special structures in that location, or whether the radar is installed too close to the tank wall, causing the radar waves to hit the tank wall at that point. It would be helpful if the owner could provide the equipment installation diagram for proper analysis
Try it in another tank to rule out any issues with the gauge; check whether the installation location is appropriate, and whether the height of the connecting tube is too high, causing interference due to being too close to the tube walls
The range is 3.5M. It can be changed. Fixed value for altitude.
Does the level gauge come with a guide tube? If so, there may be burrs on the inner wall of the waveguide ; If there is no waveguide, it is recommended to add one. It could also be due to the influence of components inside the tank, or perhaps the bottom of the tank is an elliptical head; in such cases, the radar waves reaching the bottom of the tank cannot be reflected back to the detection elements.
