The meaning of DN*dN in valve models

This post was last edited by zdl1966 on 10/9/2017 at 10:51. 200*150 refers to the fact that the flange specification for the external connection of the valve is DN200, and the inner diameter of the flow channel is also DN200; this is a way of indicating the dimensions of a reduced-bore valve.
I’ve heard of necked valves for the first time; where are these valves generally used?
DN is the nominal diameter of the control valve, that is, the specification of the connection flange； dN is the nominal diameter of the valve seat.
As I understand it, one is the valve bore diameter and the other is the seat bore diameter
It should be a custom-made valve with a changed diameter – the inlet size is DN150 while the outlet size is DN125. I have encountered such cases when supplying accessories for several imported valves; these are generally not in stock and require customization
