The specifications of the pressure transfer tube for a differential pressure gauge should match the threading of the gauge base. In the image, the threading of the gauge base is 1/2, and the pressure transfer tube used has a DN15 size with an outer diameter of 21.3 mm; such a thick tube looks unsightly. Commonly, the outer diameter is either 12 or 14 mm, as this makes it easier to bend and connect the tubes. What principles should be followed when selecting the specifications for a pressure transfer tube? Are there any standard guidelines?

The pressure gauge piping in the photo posted by the original poster is really impressive; it’s not only unsafe but also complicated, and I wouldn’t be able to set it up even if I tried.
CLASS150, CLASS 300. This is how we usually design it: the opening for the root valve (gate valve) is φ16, and the opening for the flange cover is also 16 ; Pressure lead pipe φ14X2. Welded union No. 9 in the figure. One end is welded with φ14X2, and the other end is threaded to connect the instrument.
With this setup, the probability of leakage is quite high
