I would like to ask the experts: What is the typical range of pressure loss for orifice plate flow meters? What is the relationship between the straight sections before and after the flow meter, pressure loss, and accuracy?
The pressure loss of flow meters varies depending on the medium pressure; therefore, the appropriate value varies as well, generally ranging from around 10 to 25 KPa. The straight sections before and after are one of the prerequisites for ensuring accurate measurement by orifice plate flow meters; they are not directly related to pressure loss but are related to accuracy.
