What software is used to create the illustrations in a paper?

As the title suggests, I would like to ask everyone: what software do you use to create illustrations on the pages of your papers when writing them? I’m struggling because I’m not good at drawing illustrations or using Word/Excel, and it’s difficult for me to write anything~!
This post was last edited by 1111111 on 2018-9-15 at 11:45. What kind of paper are you writing about, little dude? Are you working on something related to missiles or poison gas bombs? If so, could you carry your brother’s famous name around with you, attached to your back? :P
When you make other weapons, don’t forget about Lao Ge Wai too.
Any software such as Word, Excel, or CAD will do; what matters is the content, which should be related to the arguments in the paper. Images can enhance the reader’s reading experience.
If it’s just for drawing illustrations in a thesis and the volume isn’t large, use Visio.
