The electromagnetic flowmeter is an existing one with a DN150 size, while the pipeline is DN120 – I wonder if this is related? The flow direction is from left to right, upward.
Electromagnetic flow meter DN150, pipe diameter 120; a transition section is needed to ensure there is a straight pipe section, otherwise it cannot be installed. Even if the straight pipe section does not meet the requirements, it shouldn’t be 0. Check whether there is an empty pipe alarm; if so, turn off the empty pipe detection.
Also, make sure you’re not measuring desalinated water or something similar, as the low conductivity makes it impossible to take a reading.
I really don’t know what to say about this pipe.
What medium is being measured? It seems to be circulating water in the pipeline, and an electromagnetic flowmeter requires grounding – so why isn’t there a grounding ring? But it seems the short-circuit part is made of stainless steel; please describe the operating conditions in detail so that a proper judgment can be made.
It is necessary to check whether the medium is conductive and whether the parameter settings are correct
It’s circulating water; stainless steel jumpers are used, and there is no grounding. Does this matter?

Usually, only reduced-diameter installations are used, and in the case of an expanded-diameter installation, the length of the straight pipe section also needs to be calculated based on the DN150 standard. Then verify again whether the dielectric conductivity meets the measurement requirements. Furthermore, the lower measurement limit for DN150 is approximately 12 m3/h; it is advisable that the lower limit of the appropriate range be above 80 m3/h. Is your flow rate below this lower limit?
This installation isn’t standard at all. Can’t the flow meter be installed behind the valve? That way, even in the event of a diameter change, there would be enough straight pipe section, which would greatly reduce the risk of incomplete filling of the pipe
