As the title suggests, what type of signal is output by the BENTLY 330500 piezoelectric probe, which is used to measure the vibration of piston compressors’ casings, to the BENTLY 3500/70M card? There is no preamplifier between them; the probe is connected directly to the card, using a two-wire system. According to the probe’s manual, its sensitivity is 3.94 mv/mm/s, so the sensor outputs a millivolt signal. However, I’m not entirely sure about this. There are several issues related to this: 1. Is there an integrated shaping and amplification circuit in the probe (similar to a preamplifier)? If so, then the signal on the wires wouldn’t be in millivolts! 2. How are voltage (or current) signals superimposed on a two-wire system when there is a supply voltage present? Is this signal alternating current or direct current? What is the amplitude and frequency? 3. How to simulate such a signal on the line to test the performance of the entire circuit! Thank you!
1. The probe of the preamplifier has three wires, not two. 2. For analog signals, directly changing the probe will result in a voltage change; alternatively, a signal generator can be used to apply signals to the preamplifier in order to test the preamplifier and the circuitry of the board
The preamplifier and the probe are connected using a plug, right, not wires.
I haven’t figured this out either; I hope someone knowledgeable can give me some guidance.
This is connected to a voltage signal input; a 10V DC voltage combined with an AC sine wave can be used for simulation, where the amplitude of the AC voltage represents the vibration value

It outputs a voltage signal; you can measure it with a multimeter. It is usually 1-5V or 0-10V
