I need help understanding how to use this function block in Honeywell DCS – what does the red area mean? Thank you everyone
DI: Device operation feedback. SI: Safety interlock, which can be set to stop or operate in the configuration. OI: STATE0 output; if STATE0 is set to stop, the block output will be stop when OI is 1. OI: STATE1 output; if STATE1 is set to operate, the block output will be operate when OI is 1. The priority of SI is higher than that of OI
The red colors are for BOOL values; it’s not specifically about changing the color of BOOL lines – 0 (OFF) is red, and 1 (ON) is green.
Thank you, could you tell me what features it has? I just don’t understand what the functions are or how to use them; I’m not very familiar with the various functional components of the Honeywell C300. Is there any documentation available? Thank you
When DI changes from red to green, the device is forced to turn off; when it changes from red to green again, the device is forced to turn on. SI also changes from red to green, indicating that the device is in a safe state (it is possible to set whether the safe state should be on or off in this module). DI serves as a feedback signal for this module – it is usually red when the relay behind it is disconnected (meaning the device is off), and green when the relay is engaged (meaning the device is on). DO represents the output of this module, which provides signals to the field
