What type of level gauge is suitable for diesel tanks? The start and stop of the fuel replenishment pump needs to be controlled based on the liquid level in the diesel tank. Please advise!
Most level gauges can be used. If there is a nitrogen seal, open-type level gauges are not suitable. The start/stop of the level control pump is simply a binary signal; a high-precision level gauge is not required. However, most storage tanks, especially those for finished products, involve measurement aspects; therefore, two sets of level instruments are required – one for on-site indication and the other for detection and control.
It is unclear whether a simple implementation of interlocked pump start/stop is sufficient, or if there are higher requirements; whether it is an important chemical processing facility or a civilian facility, reliability, sensitivity, and the cost involved need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis.
Is it necessary to control the start and stop of the pump for diesel? . What if we use the two-wire intrinsically safe explosion-proof level switch from Shuaike in my village? It’s the best choice – no false alarms, extremely reliable, requires no maintenance for 10 years, and is the most cost-effective solution. For example, it can be set to start the pump when the liquid level reaches 1 meter and to stop the pump when the level reaches 10 meters. . . Down with Japan, down with the Nazis. . . Gagagaga. . . Magnetic flap level gauge with remote signal output
The most reliable option is definitely a servo level gauge. High precision!
Guided wave radar level gauges and float level gauges can both be used
We use radar level gauges, which are more expensive
