Precautions for installing butterfly valves Installation environment: Butterfly valves can be used both indoors and outdoors, but in environments with corrosive media or where rust is likely to occur, appropriate material combinations must be used. For use in special operating conditions, please consult Zhongzhi Valves. Installation location: It must be installed in a location where it can be operated safely, and where maintenance, inspection, and repair are easy to carry out. Ambient environment: Temperature -20°C to +70°C, humidity below 90% RH. Before installation, it is necessary to first check whether the valve meets the requirements for use under the given conditions, based on the markings on its nameplate. Note: Butterfly valves do not have the capability to withstand high pressure differences; never attempt to open a butterfly valve or allow it to operate under high pressure differences. Before installation, please remove any dirt, oxidation scale, and other debris from the pipelines first. During installation, please note that the flow direction of the medium should be in line with the flow arrow indicated on the valve body. Align the centers of the pipes at the front and back, keep the flange connections parallel, and tighten the screws evenly. Be careful not to cause excessive piping stress on the cylinder control valve with the pneumatic butterfly valve. Please provide appropriate support and fixation to the piping or to the main unit, depending on the size and weight of the cylinder control valve. Maintenance precautions: Routine inspection: Check for leaks, abnormal noises, vibrations, etc. Regular inspections: System components such as valves should be regularly checked for leaks, rust, and sticking, and they should be maintained by cleaning them, removing dust, and eliminating residues. Dismantling inspection: Valves should be taken apart for maintenance on a regular basis. During this process, the components must be rinsed again, any foreign objects, stains, and rust removed, damaged or severely worn gaskets and packing replaced, and the sealing surfaces repaired. After maintenance, the valve must undergo another hydrostatic test; it can only be put back into use if it passes this test. If fluid leakage is detected during the inspection of a pneumatic butterfly valve, do not touch or approach the cylinder control valve with your hands until its safety has been confirmed.
