Our company is undergoing automation upgrades, and we have installed an Allen-Bradley DCS system version 6.5.2. We have no prior experience with this system. The process requirements call for the use of a control valve (with feedback) and a shut-off valve (with feedback); we’re not sure how to operate them. Could someone please explain the process to us? It’s urgent – we need detailed instructions. Thank you.

Asking about it only tonight when it can be done tomorrow – impressive.

For Hamilton’s product after-sales service, training is provided to users; yet you’re supposed to be able to use the guidance given here as well – it seems completely absurd.

It’s actually not that difficult; I’ve only used version 5, so I don’t dare to speak rashly

Although the system from Rossmount is a bit more complicated, its principle is the same as that of other systems: it involves a PID loop, and you can take inspiration from the configurations of other systems; As for valve position feedback, it might just be a valve position indicator; the valve position feedback (AI) point can be displayed near the valve in the flow diagram. If you have learned other DCS systems, it should not be difficult.

Something that can be explained in just a few words isn’t really a problem; I suggest Zhang the manufacturer take a look
