I would like to ask the experts here: I need to purchase a level control valve (DN32) for use with a low-pressure series expansion vessel (operating pressure of 0.2 MPa). However, I’m not sure how to specify the model when placing the order. Please help! It would be even better if its operating principle could be explained.
First of all, the models from different manufacturers are different. The client needs to provide the process parameters (temperature, pressure, medium, etc.) to the valve manufacturer, who will then calculate what size control valve is required. Also, please let us know whether you prefer an electric or a pneumatic version.
First, decide which company to buy from, then go to that company’s website to obtain a selection manual and look for the model designated as Dn32, Cl150. It would be best to use the selection software provided by that manufacturer
For simplicity, just choose a single-seat control valve with DN32, PN2.0; or 1.5 inches and CL150. It is also necessary to know the discharge flow rate under normal operating conditions.
Selecting a control valve is a complex and specialized task; it cannot be explained clearly in just one or two sentences. Although a valve might be available for use, whether it can be used effectively is another matter entirely!
Thank you all for your responses. However, this type of level control valve is different from ordinary flow, pressure, and temperature control valves; it adjusts based on the water level of the equipment. Those who have used continuous discharge expanders** may understand it better

It seems you want not just a valve, but also PID control?
Thank you to everyone above; I now understand it – it’s called a hydrophobic regulator for gas-liquid two-phase flow. It doesn’t require signal control. It is adjusted according to the liquid level in the container.
