Negative drift of pressure transmitter

The range is 5 KPa; the gauge pressure has been completely drained, yet it still shows -8 KPa. How can there be such negative migration?
Have you tried performing a reset by connecting HART?
What the original poster is referring to is likely zero calibration of the transmitter, not negative drift.
How is it possible not to know how to use these instruments at all?
You shouldn’t carry out blind zero-point calibration for this as well. For pressure transmitters, as long as they are not of the type used for measuring negative pressure or vacuum, you can remove them and ensure that the diaphragm box is not under any pressure; then check whether the display shows a negative value. If it does, you can use zero-point calibration to correct it, and after that, resume using the device
