HS here isn’t a high-level selection option; obviously, there aren’t two controllers to choose from. HS is a soft switching switch for DCS; I assume it is used to switch to either channel A or channel B as needed, thereby enabling single-loop control.
It’s hard to explain; one controller can control two valves, and it can also be used for proportional control. If an actuator is selected based on the input value, then isn’t that single-loop control? I don’t quite understand.
