Problems with the level gauge

On the P&ID diagram, a level gauge is indicated for use on a tank; what does it mean by “impulse point to be connected to the top of steam supply line”? !
Connect the pulse point to the top of the steam supply pipe
I don’t know what it means. Kick it a few times to make that foreign dog Wen get out of China.
Differential pressure level? The negative pressure tap is connected to the feed pipe at the top (presumably to prevent foam from forming in the tank, which could cause an incorrect liquid level reading)
It is advisable to know the nature of the medium at the pulse point connected to the top of the steam supply pipeline; it may be necessary to perform pulse washing or heating for decomposition, and this decision needs to be made in consideration of the process requirements
