Differences in the installation styles of balance flowmeters

I haven’t been to the site very often, so I don’t have any practical experience in this area. Therefore, I would like to ask: what are the obvious differences between flange clamp types and flanged pipe types? Which form should be given priority when and in what circumstances?
The flange butt type has no short pipe between the two flanges, while the flange pipe type has a short pipe between the two flanges
What if we consider the diameter size and pressure rating?
Clamped types should be cheaper than flanged types.
