In my personal understanding, red is for coarse adjustment, while blue is for fine adjustment.
Only those adjustment holes below are used to adjust the pressure; there is no coarse or fine adjustment.
The two springs work together, similar to how the actuators of pneumatic diaphragm control valves in the past used either a single spring or multiple springs (for compact designs); this approach provides better safety.
Each spring has specific stiffness requirements; it must exhibit good linearity. Two springs can help achieve more precise control within the adjustment range
The springs determine the range of operation; one thick spring is not sufficient, so an additional thin spring is needed. For example, if you set the pressure to 5 KG, the force exerted by this pressure on the piston is balanced by the opposing forces of these two springs. This balance ensures that the compression degree of the springs is such that the valve remains in the open position. Once the pressure increases and the springs continue to be compressed, the flow rate through the valve decreases, and the pressure behind the valve drops until a new balance is reached
There’s no need to worry about such things. It’s made by the manufacturer. Take the RMB for example. 10 yuan. You can take a 10-dollar one. You can also take 2 five-dollar bills. If the manufacturer prefers to use two springs, then he will use two springs. Theoretically, two springs are relatively balanced. But from my experience, it’s actually not very useful, and the thin springs tend to break easily. It’s better to use 1.
