Are there valve-type solenoid valves used for pipelines? Are there types such as ball valves and gate valves? I would appreciate some guidance from experts, thank you!

There is a common misconception regarding the concept of solenoid valves: it is thought that gate valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, etc., which are controlled by solenoid valves, are themselves called “solenoid valves”. In reality, a solenoid valve is a component that controls the opening and closing of such valves by regulating the flow of air; it is not the valve itself that performs the opening and closing action. As for choosing what type of valve to use, whether it’s an opening/closing valve or a control valve, this has nothing to do with the solenoid valve. 2. I have also seen some small valves that are controlled directly by electromagnets, without the use of instrument air.
