I used the Melsuniran SVI II AP locator; attempting to enter the menu for self-tuning failed, and several attempts at tuning were unsuccessful.
Check if it’s loose around the feedback rod; it seems to be due to magnetism
Is it a new unit or an old one, and what’s the problem? What changes were made before and after self-tuning?
Some time ago, I encountered a situation where the SVI-2 locator could not carry out self-tuning; the process would fail as soon as it reached that stage in the menu. Upon further inspection, it was found that the valve had not been operated for a long time, resulting in sticking of the valve stem, which prevented the locator from carrying out the up and down movements required for self-tuning. In the end, the maintenance staff was called to manually open the valve, and after resolving the sticking issue, the self-tuning was completed
