The pressure difference is 30~40 kilograms, and saturated water needs to be discharged regularly. What material would be suitable for this application? Which brand is good?
I think ordinary carbon steel valves will do. . . Stainless steel is definitely better; it depends on how much you’re willing to spend. The pressure difference and pressure are roughly the same; assuming 40 kilograms of force, the temperature will be around 200 degrees. A carbon steel valve of 64 kilograms will suffice
Its lifespan is not high. I am a control valve!
A fixed-flow system doesn’t require a control valve, right? I didn’t pay attention when selecting the control valve for the drum outlet; it’s possible to spend a bit more money and choose a stainless-steel one. The pipelines are made of carbon steel or low-alloy steel – 20G or 15CrMo will suffice. It’s sufficient for the valve to have a material similar to that of the pipes; using stainless steel might be a bit wasteful
The on-off valves we use are made of cast iron.
What size is the furnace? I’ve seen that the regular exhaust valves are all manual
I can understand using electric on-off valves in order to reduce manual labor, but using control valves doesn’t seem right – it’s not possible to ensure a proper seal
Cast iron ones should be fine; out of 12 furnaces over a period of 10 years, only one developed an internal leak. A pneumatic gate valve will do.
The purpose of adjustment is to start discharging waste water; the valve cannot be opened fully at once – it needs to be preheated first before it can be opened completely
