Difference between POS address rising edge detection and RLO rising edge detection

As the title suggests: What is the difference between detecting the rising edge of the POS address and the rising edge of RLO in a ladder diagram? I don’t quite understand it; I can’t make sense of it. Could some expert please explain it in simple terms? Thank you
Isn’t it said that POS is a type of RLO? Another option is to detect the falling edge.
