Typically, the oil-to-coal ratio in oil-coal slurry is 1:1, the temperature is around 160°C, the viscosity ranges from 200 to 400 MPa/s, and the density is approximately 1.130. The density of the oil itself lies between 0.85 and 1.00. Conventional differential pressure flow meters (such as wedge-type or venturi types) do not provide accurate measurements, and their pressure taps are prone to clogging. Are there any contactless flow measurement methods available, such as ultrasonic, electromagnetic, or mass flow meters? If there are any products with proven performance in such applications, please recommend them. Thank you. For water-coal slurry, there are electromagnetic flowmeters equipped with special wear-resistant rubber linings, and the electrodes are also wear-resistant. I’m not sure if oil-coal slurry is feasible; it is recommended to contact the manufacturers of electromagnetic flowmeters, as they will have better solutions.
Is it possible to use a differential pressure diaphragm pressure transducer? Has the reason for the blockage been identified?
