A batch of positioners supplied with the pneumatic valves in our factory (of the HVP-100 type, similar to those from Yokogawa) have a problem: if the walkie-talkie is placed too close to the positioner, it causes interference, resulting in the valve moving up and down on its own. I asked the manufacturer, and they said it’s okay. I plan to return the product, but the manufacturer insists that we provide the relevant standards. I was wondering which standard should be applied in this situation; I tried to find it but couldn’t. Only GB/T 22137.2-2018 was found; it doesn’t seem to be very relevant
RF interference is a normal phenomenon. It’s just a matter of the magnitude of the interference. Some anti-interference measures work well, while others don’t. It’s hard to say about the imitation Shan Wu you’re using. Use the genuine product instead! Genuine Siemens, ABB, and Yamatake tools are all fine.
This is probably a problem with the quality of the product; the brands we use, such as Yaskawa, Siemens, and Fisher, do not have this issue. The quality of imitation products is simply unreliable, and it has nothing to do with standards
You get what you pay for, and it’s the end users who suffer as a result. The initial investment cost is low, but the workload for maintenance personnel increases over time.
It’s normal; with Siemens and Fisher positioners, the valves will fluctuate when speaking into the walkie-talkie at close range. When we are troubleshooting Fisher valves, we use walkie-talkies with our backs to the valve. Then turn around to adjust the valve
Really? Why haven’t I seen Fisher’s volatility fluctuate? Wu Zhong’s own locator does fluctuate.
It’s hard to say exactly what causes this interference. Previously, we supplied Hart temperature transmitters and pressure transmitters to other clients; in the same factory, within two different workshops, whenever the walkie-talkies were used, the instruments on site would start fluctuating wildly, while the instruments in the adjacent workshop remained stable no matter how they were used. It was quite frustrating, and the problem was only resolved after switching to non-intelligent models
It reminds me of using the walkie-talkie next to the compressor oil pressure transmitter, and then the system stopped automatically as a result of the interlock!
