Since the aeration time and air volume should be adjusted according to dissolved oxygen (DO) levels, the results obtained each time are not significantly different from those obtained through sampling with a manual analyzer. However, after continuous measurement for a period of time, the reading of the analyzer will gradually decrease until it reaches “0”. Calibration in air is also basically normal. First, rule out internal causes such as wiring, debugging, and system-related issues. If there are no issues, it is recommended to contact E+H by phone, as manufacturers encounter more situations during debugging, installation, and maintenance. The likelihood of knowing would be greater.
If dissolved oxygen truly drops by 0, it means the biochemical system has completely collapsed, aerobic bacteria die, and the sludge disintegrates. If the biochemical parameters are normal, then it’s definitely a fault with the instrument. Under normal circumstances, factors such as temperature, altitude, depth of immersion, and even light exposure can affect DO levels, but they won’t drop to 0. It is recommended to contact the manufacturer to have the probe replaced and tried again

Although dissolved oxygen is greatly influenced by temperature, pressure, and salinity, the instrument itself should have a function for automatic or manual adjustment and compensation, and the effect of these factors will not result in the values approaching zero.
