Opening for the original instrument components

When making openings in process pipelines, the specifications only mention mechanical operations; however, for openings in high-pressure pipelines, pipe supports are required. Is it necessary to have such supports for the instrumentation components as well? Or direct socket welding?
Thermometers, pressure gauges, and the like just need an installation base
