Many voltage transformers require the ambient temperature to be between -10 and 60°C when filled with fluorinated oil. Why is there such a restriction? The liquid contact temperature is related to the isolation fluid. What is the principle by which ambient temperature affects the filling fluid?
It’s a trivial matter; there’s no need for any complicated principles behind it…… It’s obvious: when the temperature is low, the oil has poor fluidity, while when the temperature is high, the oil’s volatility increases. In either case, it’s not favorable for filling the capillaries with oil. At an environmental temperature of -10°C, even one’s fingers freeze; at 60°C, it’s so hot that people might even get cooked, to the point where pig’s head meat could be sold. So what’s the point of using extra oil then? :lol. In our small factory, the temperature in the workshops remains at (20±5)°C all year round, while the temperature in the measurement room stays at (20±2)°C with a fluctuation of less than 1°C. Only when people are not too cold nor too hot, but in a comfortable temperature range, can they work calmly and do their job well, right?
