Dear forum members, I would like to ask: Are there any requirements regarding the ranges of the H and HH alarms for control points in the DCS system in relation to the process control parameters? Is it that the alarm upper limit must be within the range of indicator control, or is it that the indicator control range must be within the alarm upper and lower limits?
High alarm warning, high-high alarm interlock. This specific value needs to be determined through discussion in conjunction with the manufacturing process.

HH LL can be used as the upper and lower limits of the indicator range, or it can remain within the control range of the indicator. Exactly how much to produce is determined by the process technician. Instrument operators configure the control system to implement alarm functions and interlock functions. The responsibility for this topic also lies with the process engineers and equipment technicians.
Of course, the indicator’s range must be within the upper and lower limits for alarms
