Ranking of domestic DCS manufacturers: Hangzhou Youwen – what rank does it hold? Feel free to discuss
I heard for the first time that our plants use domestic DCS systems such as Zhejiang University Zhongkong and HollySys
We are now preparing to use a smaller set, which is from Nanjing Keyuan
In terms of DCS rankings, Zhejiang University Zhongkong, HollySys, Xinhua, Youwen, Keyuan, and others are among the top ones. I'm talking about overall strength. In fact, each of them has its own strengths: Zhongkong is good at coal chemical and chlor-alkali industries, HaliTech excels in thermal power generation, and Xinhua is strong in power generation for power plants. This represents only my personal opinion
Zhejiang University Zhongkong and Zhejiang University Youwen are based on the same technology; their founders both come from the University of Zhejiang’s Engineering Research Center for Industrial Automation. Zhejiang University Youwen has its own proprietary technologies, and although it has been involved in a variety of projects over the years, it holds a high market share in the pharmaceutical industry. In the chemical industry, Zhongkong and HoliTech are used; I haven’t used any other brands. It’s located in Shandong

For DCS systems, I think it is better to choose well-known brands that have strong capabilities in research and development, design, and manufacturing, whether they are domestic or foreign; such brands ensure quality and good service. Hangzhou Youwen was probably set up by people who left their previous companies; in other words, they felt that there was an imbalance in terms of interests and motivations at their old workplaces, so they started working on their own with a few others. I don’t think it’s very reliable. Of course, the price might be low, the relationships might be close, and there might be many benefits, but the problem is that there could also be numerous issues in the end.
