Do the instruments near the burner need to be explosion-proof? Since the burner itself is a source of open flame, is it still necessary to make the surrounding instruments explosion-proof?
Under normal operation of the equipment, no accumulation of combustible gases occurs; however, in consideration of situations such as shutdown for maintenance, instruments located near gas-related equipment are generally designed to be explosion-proof

First, the regulations clearly state that areas with open flames are not considered explosion-proof areas. Secondly, the burner is installed inside the furnace, and the open flame is also located within the furnace; therefore, the equipment surrounding the burner must be explosion-proof as well. Thirdly, many current civilian integrated fully automatic burners, such as small hot water boilers, are non-explosion-proof. If it is an industrial burner in a chemical plant, it is recommended to use an explosion-proof version.
