A sodium hydroxide solution with a concentration of 10–20%, at a temperature of around 130 degrees and a pressure of 2.0 MPa; now it is necessary to take samples to measure the pH value. At such temperatures and pressures, sampling requires the use of temperature and pressure reduction devices. But what material should be used for the sampling pipes that connect this alkaline solution to the main pipeline? The pipes entering the temperature reducer should be the same, right? Since it is for measurement purposes, this temperature reducer cannot be made very large – 316L or 304? Can it withstand it? The temperature is really high; it gives me a headache
Check the material of the main pipeline; using the same material will suffice – 20# steel should work fine.
