Hello everyone, I would like to ask what the difference is between digital electrodes and analog electrodes? Is there no impact on the measurement?
There isn’t much difference in terms of usage; the main difference lies in the wiring of the transmitters.
There’s no difference; it’s just that the wiring method to the transmitter is different. As for measurement, one must choose the appropriate method based on the process requirements
Digital electrodes: These are electrodes equipped with a pre-amplifier and a digital signal conversion module; they can generally only be connected to the controllers or transmitters manufactured by the same company, and they offer various conveniences in areas such as calibration, event recording, and device management. If used in explosion-proof environments, it must be certified first. Simulation electrode: It uses the conventional measurement mode for electrodes, and does not feature any functional modules for signal amplification or conversion, thus offering good versatility.
Digital electrodes have simple wiring; those from Mettler require only two wires, and this is unrelated to the measurement process
