If two out of the three measurement points meet the criteria, it triggers a linkage – that’s roughly what it means
Three measurement points are involved in interlocking; when two of these points reach the interlocking threshold, interlocking is triggered, which is referred to as \"three-out-of-two\". “\"Two-out-of-three voting\" is more commonly seen in SIS or ESD systems, where three channels participate in the voting process; when the statuses of two channels are identical, the status shared by those two channels is outputted, usually representing an interlock condition.
For the same parameter under test, signals from three measuring instruments are sent to the interlock system at the same time; the interlock will activate only when two of the measurement signals simultaneously meet the interlock conditions. Prevent malfunction.
It usually involves some interlock designs. In areas where significant losses occur when an interlock shutdown takes place, such designs are implemented to reduce instrument failures and errors. For each detection point, three measuring instruments are used; only when the readings from two of these instruments simultaneously meet the interlock conditions will the interlock be activated. 2oo3 is a redundancy design that takes safety and production into account, offering higher safety performance. There are 3 sensors; when the interlock values are reached in 2 of them, the interlock device will activate.
If all three are achieved simultaneously, is that also a chain reaction? I think so, but I’ve never encountered it. . After all, there is a time delay in signal transmission. .
